Proton Gator

This main character of this story was invented by a young boy going through treatment at the University of Florida Proton Therapy Institute, named Christian. While reading some of  my other books, he asked, my friend and fellow author, Dr. Robert B. Marcus Jr., a question. "Could the author write a story about Proton Gator?" My friend sent me an email and asked me to consider writing the story. He had no idea who or what Proton Gator was or what special properties he possessed. He just said that Christian wanted a story. I thought for a moment and then started writing, with no idea of what I was going to write. Thirty minutes later, Proton Gator was born and had a purpose.

Synopsis

Proton Gator was not well liked in his swampy home because he possessed a very peculiar glow which kept all his neighbors awake at night. Finally, having enough of Proton's glow, they force him to leave the swamp. Along his journey, he meets young Christian. The two become very close friends. One day as Proton shows up to chat with his new friend, Christian is nowhere to be found. Proton soon learns that his friend has been taken to "the building with the red cross on its front." Missing his young new friend, Proton makes his way to the building where he finds Christian fast asleep. He lays next to Christian and begins glowing with joy at finding his young friend. In the morning, Christian and the other children are miraculously healed.
